Mind Blowing Luxury Shopping in Singapore

Spending time in some of the world’s most luxurious shopping malls is a life goal of many of us. With the availability of flights from Toronto all the way to Changi Airport, Singapore, it becomes all the more tempting.

If the incredible food, hotels and glamorous rooftop bars had not already landed Singapore on your list of places to visit, the shopping malls certainly will. Singapore is home to some malls that would make shopping in Dubai look cheap (okay, maybe not quite)! Just be prepared to come back with a hefty credit card bill! But hey, it’s not your fault you have expensive taste…

The Raffles Hotel Singapore is, in a word, incredible. It is so impressive in fact, that, according to its website, even the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have stayed there. Not only is it a hotel fit for royalty but also has its own luxury shopping mall or ‘shopping arcade’ and of course, its own theatre! The arcade is home to over 40 fashion and designer shops. The definition of treating yourself!

Then of course there’s the fabulous Mandarin Gallery shopping mall, which is also attached to a hotel. A much smaller and more compact mall, it has an intimate ‘VIP’ feel. With four stories of pure retail therapy and boasting over 50 branded boutiques, shopping doesn’t get much better than this!

The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands alone are worth a flight from Toronto to Singapore to visit. The Shoppes is the epitome of luxury. With the largest collection of watches and jewellery brands in Singapore, you are sure to leave with an empty wallet. This place is so luxurious and so big in fact, that you can ride a boat around it. No seriously…The Shoppes is home to the Sampan rides, where you can sit back and relax in a beautifully crafted Chinese wooden boat and float between the shops. That is, of course, if you don’t want use the complimentary tram service instead.

The luxurious cafes and the Salt Grill & Sky Bar would entice even those who hate shopping (if such people really exist) to ION Orchard. The LED-lit entrance paves the way into pure luxury once again. It has a reputation for housing the new up-and-coming big names in fashion. Ion also attracts the lovers of art as it has its own ‘multi-sensory’ art and exhibition gallery!

Paragon Shopping centre is another shopping haven full to the brim, with six floors of world-class luxury brands. Sometimes they even have live music to accompany you as you shop. Voted Most Glamorous Mall by IS magazine, it is ideal for those in search of luxury!

So there it is, Singapore is officially the best place to let your inner shopaholic run free. Unfortunately, when you get home shopping will never be the same again – not least because you’ll be out of cash!
